Objectives

Our schools have many successes worth celebrating. I will lead with what's working well while addressing challenges head-on. Instead of constant criticism, we need constructive solutions that build confidence in our public schools. 

Educational excellence requires the active participation of all stakeholders. I will commit to building and sustaining coalitions that include educators, families, students, community members, and local organizations working together toward shared goals. When we collaborate instead of fighting, our children win. 

Every decision I make will be grounded in educational research and student data. Our curriculum must be research-based, our instruction data-driven, and our policies focused on what actually improves student outcomes. I will prioritize proven methodologies and data to inform our practices, ensuring that every strategy we implement has a foundation in educational effectiveness. 

Our elementary, middle, and high schools must work as one integrated system. I will champion vertical alignment that builds skills progressively, eliminates gaps, and prepares every student for success after graduation. 

While advocating for full funding of our schools, we recognize that maximizing existing resources is equally important. I will work to identify and organize existing community assets, partnerships, and resources to support our schools. 

True educational excellence extends beyond test scores and academic metrics. I will advocate for comprehensive support that addresses students' academic, social, and emotional needs, preparing them for both college and career success. 

I will work to change the tone of educational conversations in Northampton from divisive budget battles to constructive dialogue focused on student success, community strengths, and shared solutions to our challenges. 

As your representative, I will communicate openly about our progress and challenges. I will be accountable to families, transparent in decision-making, and always accessible to the community I serve.
